Why Recycle
|
|
Disposal poses a real threat of pollution.
The WEEE directive is aimed at encouraging reuse and recycling, and minimising the negative environmental aspects of disposal. The Directive sets targets that 65% of IT equipment must be recycled, and materials such as CRT's (monitors), LCD displays, printed circuit boards, batteries and flame retardant plastics be pre-treated before disposal. Waycam Technologies Ltd handle all types of redundant IT equipment and electronic waste, and are currently achieving in excess of 90% recovery and recycling levels, well above the requirement of the WEEE directive.
Recycling4you is the result of an agreement to provide an integrated solution for customers, between Waycam Technologies Ltd and several licensed waste management companies, which enables us to offer, recovery and recycling facilities and offer a nationwide collection service. Although Waycam Technologies Ltd do not ultimately recycle the equipment our Logistics Partners that we use to carry this out on our behalf are accredited are members of ICER (Industry Council for Electronic Equipment Recycling)
as well as being ISO 9001 and 1401 registered.
Waycam operates a full range of services from re-sale, recovery and recycling and there is no minimum specification for equipment.
